Is the WT right that the Lamb's marriage is after Armageddon?

"But reject empty speeches that violate what is holy, for they will lead to more and more ungodliness, and their word will spread like gangrene. Hy·me·naeʹus and Phi·leʹtus are among them. These men have deviated from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already occurred, and they are subverting the faith of some."

There were some in the first century that erroneously taught the resurrection of the anointed had already occurred. These men deviated from truth and subverted the faith of others. The GB/FDS have also deviated from the truth by saying the anointed are already being resurrected since 1914 or 1918 or whatever.

Paul said, when talking of the anointed: "Look! I tell you a sacred secret: We will not all fall asleep in death, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the blink of an eye, during the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised up incorruptible, and we will be changed."

He tells the order: During the time of the last trumpet (1) the dead anointed will be resurrected and (2) the other anointed will be changed.

These events are not separated by decades of years. They happen together, one right after the other.

When is the last trumpet? Revelation shows the trumpets are sounded during the great tribulation. That hasn't happened yet. The trumpets were not in 1914. None of the 144,000 anointed have been resurrected yet.

The bride all goes to heaven at the same time. The anointed do not go piecemeal. The marriage takes place when the bridegroom brings the bride home and the kingdom is complete. All of the bride, meaning all 144,000. Here is what the scriptures say:

"For this is what we tell you by Jehovah’s word, that we the living who survive to the presence of the Lord will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep in death; because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first. Afterward we the living who are surviving will, together with them, be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we will always be with the Lord."

"Together With Them". When it is time for the marriage to take place, Jesus comes and wakes up the dead anointed by resurrecting them. Then the living anointed are changed, and All Together they go into the kingdom arrangement. (Kind of like the Beatles song, "All Together Now" haha.)

When Jesus was resurrected, many people on earth saw him for many days before he went to heaven. The resurrection of the anointed will be the same way. That is why people on earth will be in shock when this event takes place during the latter part of the great tribulation. It will not be a hidden, invisible action. There were witnesses when Jesus went up to heaven in the clouds. It will be the same when the anointed are changed.

Just as Hymenaeus and Alexander taught lies about the resurrection in the first century, so today. The governing body is teaching that the anointed resurrection already happened, and this is subverting the faith of some. The Bible is clear. The anointed are not resurrected until after Jesus becomes king. He didn't become king in 1914. When the anointed are resurrected, there will be witnesses on earth to the event, just like there were many witnesses when Jesus was resurrected. He was resurrected as a spirit creature, but he materialized a human body. The anointed resurrection will be the same way.

"If we have become united with him in the likeness of his death, we will certainly also be united with him in the likeness of his resurrection."

The "marriage" of Adam and Eve took place when Jehovah brought them together. There was no fancy formal ceremony. The "marriage of the Lamb" means when all the 144,000 are resurrected and with Jesus and then the battle of Armageddon begins.

A newborn baby doesn't have to ask how to breathe. In an instant, the heart valve switches gears and the lungs take in oxygen instead of getting it through the umbilical cord. It's a miracle. Jehovah knows how to do miracles. The 144,000 will not have to be trained last minute or ask how to fight bad guys at Armageddon and how to save the ones they love. They will already know how to follow the direction of the holy spirit, and they will be motivated to protect their loved ones, whoever Jesus says to save.

Continuing on with Hebrews, Paul also stated at 11:39,40 they they will all resurrected at the same time so this disproves the assertion by the org.that FDS started to be resurrected since 1914-1918 and are speaking to the GB and directing the "chariot", as study articles and direction are stated.

"And yet all of these, although they received a favorable witness because of their faith, did not obtain the fulfillment of the promise, because God had foreseen something better for us, so that they might not be made perfect apart from us." (Hebrews 11:39,40)

In those verses, Paul was referring to two groups: "all of these" (Samson, Sarah, Abraham, Moses, Samuel, David, etc) who had the hope of living forever on the earth and then "us" (Paul and the Christians in the first century who were anointed to be part of the Kingdom government in heaven).

He wasn't talking about the resurrection of the 144,000 when he said "all of these".

But Paul did say at 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18:

"Moreover, brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who are sleeping in death, so that you may not sorrow as the rest do who have no hope. For if we have faith that Jesus died and rose again, so too God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in death through Jesus. For this is what we tell you by Jehovah’s word, that we the living who survive to the presence of the Lord will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep in death; because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first. Afterward we the living who are surviving will, together with them, be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and thus we will always be with the Lord. So keep comforting one another with these words."

When Jesus called Lazarus out of the cave where he was buried, he called him with a loud voice. When Jesus descends from heaven to the earth "with a commanding call, with an archangel's voice and with God's trumpet" it is going to be much "louder". Loud enough to wake the dead. Everyone will know.

Revelation shows that during the great tribulation when Jesus resurrects the anointed ones who have died, everyone will know. Paul, Peter, Mary, James, Mary Magdalene...they will all be walking around in materialized bodies just like Jesus did for those 40 days after he was resurrected. Everybody will know they've been resurrected.

    - Re vs 39 -fulfillment of the promise--- looking at vs 16 it says that they are reaching out for a better better place, one belonging to heaven as God has prepared a place for them... this would indicate those who were named previously in Chtp 11 were in the same league as those in Paul's day, as shown in vs 40 when it says " so that they may not be made perfect apart from us"? Where is this place God prepared for them in heaven or on earth ? What scripture does it say that Abraham and the rest will be on earth? Abraham was promised an heir- leading to Jesus, land, to be a father of many- what scripture does it say he will be resurrected to earth and not in the "better place belonging to heaven ?

I realize that those who died prior to Jesus' sacrifice remained in the grave but after his sacrifice, things took a turn but no one knows to what degree. Why is there a date of 1914/1918 attributed to the ascension of the "Holy ones"? Are you depending on Daniels count of time?

The WTBT$ teaching about some kind of invisible resurrection in 1914/1918 thing is make-believe.

Nobody yet except Jesus has been resurrected to heaven.

Everybody else who has died is asleep in death. They didn't "go" anywhere except back to the dust. God has them in His memory, and at the appointed time during the great tribulation Jesus will resurrect those out of the 144,000 anointed who have fallen asleep in death, and the remaining ones of the 144,000 anointed who are still alive will be changed, and all together they will go to join Christ for the battle of Armageddon.

Everyone will see the anointed ones when they are resurrected as spirit creatures. It won't be "invisible".

When the anointed are resurrected all together and join Christ, that is the "marriage of the Lamb". The fruitage of that union will include protecting the sheep at Armageddon.

Why believe in a set of books as containing important messages for the human race? If it would be true that all these books are inspired by and contain the correct wording and meaning from a god, who, as we have to believe, is very much interested in his creation, then tell me what this god did to ensure we all have the same access to and can have the same understanding of his words? Is our life protected by this god? Do we have only one universally accepted book containing his words? Do his words bring peace? Does believing in his words remove pain, grief, despair, violence, war, poverty, abuse, hunger, death? Even the hope people get from his words is not equal among believers.

I think IKEA did a better job by providing instructions that are equal to all.

    @menrov and @Rattigan350...

I am sorry you two have been so hurt by "religious" people who do not reflect God's Love and His truth.

I wish I could make all your pain go away and help you trust Him again right now, but I can't.

It takes time to heal and to trust. He isn't the One who broke your trust, but He got blamed for it. Someday you'll see it wasn't His fault.

He Loves you. He hasn't left you. He isn't the One who caused the pain. He's going to fix it. You'll know that eventually. I'm sorry you are in pain.🌷

12, 13. (a) When will the marriage of the Lamb take place? (b) In heaven, who will rejoice over the marriage of the Lamb?

12 As anointed Christians finish their earthly course during Christ’s presence, they are resurrected to heavenly life. Sometime after the destruction of Babylon the Great, Jesus will gather to himself all the remaining members of the bride class. (1 Thess. 4:16, 17) Before the outbreak of the war of Armageddon, therefore, all members of the “bride” will be in heaven. After that war, the marriage of the Lamb can take place. What a joyful occasion that marriage will be! “Happy are those invited to the evening meal of the Lamb’s marriage,” states Revelation 19:9. Happy indeed will be the 144,000 members of the bride class. And the Bridegroom-King will be overjoyed to have the total number of his royal associates symbolically ‘eating and drinking with him at his table in his Kingdom.’ (Luke 22:18, 28-30) However, rejoicing over the marriage of the Lamb will not be limited to the Bridegroom and his bride.
