I don't know what this about and I'm not going to watch a JW.Broadcast to find out. More and more I see where I just no longer care about JW controversy. JWism is affecting less and less of our life and I cannot control what other choices people make about un-friending (or subtle shunning) towards us.
I've come to realize that most JWs don't believe Armageddon is "right around the corner" either. You can see that by how they are NOT living their lives. I think there are many PIMO's who are still in it for the social connection, and even more that have remained as "quasi-JWs" -- they believe and follow the rules that don't inconvenience them -- JW-ala-carte.
If they want to drink "a little too much", they do it.
If they want to go to the Casino, they do it.
If they want to have oral sex with their husband/wife, they do it. (I'm not even sure of the official JW doctrinal stance on that anymore. Don't tell, Don't ask?)
If they want to use the "medical marijuana" loophole for recreational purposes, they do it.
The old diehard breed of JW's are old and dying. They have no where else to go at their point in life, so they still show up and they still put their hope in the "Armageddon Soon" rhetoric as it's the only way they can hope to cheat Death.
