And of course Penygraig (above) - when closed and converted to a KH - was trumpeted in the Awake! article below as evidence of Babylon's waters drying up.

    *** g96 9/8 p. 31 Why the Chapels Are Closing ***

One [chapel] that was not listed, in Penygraig, was converted many years ago into a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses for the flourishing Rhondda Congregation.

And still no obvious backlash, those in unaffected Kingdom Halls must have heard of what is going on even if not in the immediate area.

As with the 'redundant bethelites etc, some sour grapes may be, but no major reaction from the rank and file. Even against the appalling binning of long time servants, who must have some grudges to bear, but apparently not. All well in Lett Fairyland, ' ...we need more Kingdom Halls so dig deep and donate.' He must be thankful for the LDCs who do the WT dirty work and keep him at a distance from the amalgamations, closures, dissolving, all shorthand for You did not donate enough, so we are helping you to donate more by selling your Hall and keeping the money, no need to thank us

    Haha! Cool, interesting pick up.

It was a Tabor Congregational Chapel, original part-built in 1909

The Rhondda congregation has around 124 publishers (including nine elders) - so not that small.

Their 15 March 2015 accounts make interesting reading though....

To be honest, looking at the above pics (poor access, no car parking and it's not really a great building for maintenance etc), the Rhondda congregation is probably quite pleased to be at the Pontyclun Kingdom Hall - pictured below - which looks larger, newer, and has the added benefit of an adjacent massive car park.

    From 10 months ago....

GoneAwol: Some more kingdumb halls listed for sale in uk. Wondrous contraction is now taking place....

    http://www.richardbaddeley.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/FOR-SALE-KINGDOM-HALL.pdf

Kingdom Hall, Knowles Road, Llandudno, LL30 2LG

darkspilver: Presumed SOLD - no longer listed on estate agent's website

I was only listing the Kingdom Halls currently on sale - NOT those that have already been sold

    Now...

Interesting... according to the date in the above link, it was on sale from January 2014 when it was listed for £120,000

Now it has turned up for auction on 25 October 2017 - with a guide price of only £55,000-plus

    https://www.sdlauctions.co.uk/property/15297/commercial-property-for-auction-llandudno/

According to the following website it appears that it was last sold in 2003 for £54,500

Kingdom Halls everywhere for sale .apparent cut back on new KH`s to be built contradicting the statement a couple of years ago that hundreds more KH`s are needed urgently.

Of course they are needed....somewhere else. That is the scam.

Congregation doesn't owe anything on a hall? Join two congregations, then sell one of the halls..... money goes in to Org's pocket. About 2 years later, it seems that congregation is again too big, time to buy/build a second hall. Now, the org lends money to the congregation, build the hall. Now congregation divides, time to pay the Org for the loan. Now wait a years and propose to join congregations again, and repeat the whole thing.
