    It's all phooey.

My boys are 18 (not JW oc). I think they have maybe two friends who are in relationships with school sweethearts, but otherwise one is not interested and too busy swotting for exams prior to uni (he's had provisional offers from several Russell group unis to do maths and IT). The other is joining the army after 6th form exams & would like a girlfriend. He met one girl, had a few dates but she lived too far away to go "steady" which is what he wants. The other potential he liked moved back to china after a year at college here.

They and their friends are far from 'sex mad' and very sensible all around. In my opinion far more so than my generation!!!

"...I have to run out of the classroom, just like Joseph did because of Potipha's wife ...".

What the heck was going on in those classrooms?? And what sexually repressed teenaged kid wouldn't be trying to find out how to transfer to that school??

What makes these videos obviously stupid, is the portrayal of worldly people as being either, a violent criminal or a sexual deviant, which even Witness teenagers know that this is not true, particularly at school.

You see, when I was in High School, the student body (like the broader community it represented) was stratified into different social groups. You had your sporting jocks, the trendy rich girls, the poor, the anti-social types (like today's Goths and Emos), the Greek kids, the Italians and the list went on ... none of which would be seen dead, in the company of the others. But what about the over-sexed students so often described in Watchtower productions? Well I'm sure they existed at my school, as they must have been in all others, but percentage wise (once you deducted everyone else), were not an large group by any means. And they (like everyone else) kept to themselves.

Personally for me as a Witness, high school was sort of ok. I was one of the library nerdy types and I had a couple of worldly friends, who like me, kept apart from the others in our own little corner playing chess during lunch.

But yes, it is true that more kids are having sex than in the past, but it's not as much as people think. In fact, most sociologists will tell you that, conservative moral values are once more on the rise in the West. Which deflates the whole narrative the Governing Body likes to push. That's why I feel quite confident in saying that 95% of high school students today are more worried about Friday's math test, than hooking up with Jodie or Brad after class.

I also find my kids’ peers to be way nicer than the ones I knew growing up.

I (partially) credit that to not having to grow up constantly breathing in the fumes from leaded gasoline.

    Seriously.

Believe it or not, you know what that WT video reminds me of? That old propaganda movie Reefer Madness.

It portrayed young people who smoked weed as violent, licentious risk-addicts who’d just as soon eat your face off as look at you (as opposed to mellowed-out couch potato snack-addicts who’d just as soon overtip the pizza delivery guy)…

…i.e. so blatantly horseshit, it was laughable.

Worldly girls didn't seem to mind my JW background throughout my entire school career .

There was a time I had two girlfriends in school and one in my street at the same time.

I did find being a JW in school and 'turning the other cheek when ridiculed' incredibly difficult/impossible.

When in high school I went round a corner and bumped into an elders daughter with a fag in her mouth, a worldly boyfriend on her arm, she was swearing at him like a trooper.

She begged me not to report her.

As I fought anything that moved and had a reputation of being one of the schools best bare knuckle brawlers, despite being an elder's son, I assured her she had nothing to worry about from me on that score.

There were parts in this WT video bordering porn. The part where the young brother had his worldly peers grab his arms and force him to touch a girl. Although not showing that, he spoke those words in great detail. Listening to this made me roll my eyes...I mean, what schools are out there where sex is that normal during class.

I do get where those stories are coming from though. When I was young, and I did things that perhaps people shouldn't do, I made up excuses and when I was young, it was easy to blame a friend for goading you into doing something bad, later on, it became a bit harder and when a young adult, I used alcohol as a crutch.

But yeah, the whole "my classmates made me do it" and "everyone does it" and "they forced me to do it" is just an excuse teenagers will use for doing things they know they shouldn't be doing and in the cult you can even get a part at the circuit assembly talking about some exaggerated story, I was the one on that platform, although despite my story which started off pretty tame (in reality I talked to a friend and gave them a tract), the thing became produced, they rewrote my story using a WT article trying to make a point and basically the whole thing was an act.

Not the first time we’ve heard a story like that here.

The powers-that-be always seem to forget that the moment you use shady methods in your attempt to claim the moral high ground…

…you forfeit the moral high ground.

When you start using the bad guy's methods, you become the bad guy*
