It's very odd that the Jan. 2020 Watchtower was nearly 3 weeks later than normal.

Another odd thing about this Watchtower is that it has two articles (about the anointed) that is very similar to two articles they wrote only four years earlier.

The fact that they have even reprinted two articles that are only four years old suggests that they continue to have numerous problems surrounding their teaching's of the anointed and problems with those claiming to be anointed.

Here are a few of the differences between both the 2016 and 2020 articles -

    2016 Watchtower states

Anointed Christians need to be taught by Jehovah just like everyone else.

    2020 Watchtower states

Of course, anointed Christians need to be taught by Jehovah through the congregation just like everyone else.

Four years ago, they acknowledged that it was only Jehovah who were teaching the anointed but the newest Watchtower now states that it is through the congregation.

    Watchtower 2016 states

There will be 144,000 ruling with Jesus in heaven. But the Bible speaks of “the remaining ones” of the anointed who are still on earth in this time of the end. (Revelation 12:17) So most of the 144,000 have already died and are in heaven.

They've left this out in the 2020 Watchtower which is interesting because they don't know exactly when the 144,000 began to be resurrected.

    Watchtower 2016 states

If we do not treat anointed ones as more important than others, we also protect ourselves. How? The Bible tells us that there might be “false brothers” in the congregation who may even say that they are anointed. (Galatians 2:4, 5; 1 John 2:19) Also, some anointed ones might not stay faithful.

    Watchtower 2020 states

The thought that there may be anointed "false brothers" in the congregation has been removed. No doubt the GB has decided that putting ideas like that in the minds of followers is not such a good idea.

These are not heart warming articles but instead, they are judgmental and tell both the so called anointed JW and the 'other sheep' exactly what they should be feeling, thinking, how to treat one another and what they are allowed to talk about and not talk about.

I find it quite interesting that they would say Also, some anointed ones might not stay faithful. I take this meaning that there are "false brothers", how about "false brothers" in the governing body. Didn't they say they are not inspired any more?

Evidently ,it would seem, probably,we can reasonably say,{tongue in cheek} that their are many more JW`s now claiming to be of the anointed class than ever before .

My theory is ,they are getting tired of Armageddon being postponed so many times , and they are hedging there bets ,that if they do die before the big A ,they may get in with the heavenly hope .

Remember the average JW is no Bible scholar ,how many could really defend there faith with one of us even ,I bet none.

Isn`t that what they said about ray Franz Tameria2001?

God/Jesus couldn`t find 144000 faithful brothers and sisters in over 2000 years ?

Their is something definitely wrong somewhere here, surely, that they are still looking to fill that number ?

What does that say for the rest of humanity ?

L: when I looked last (many years ago) the heavenly resurrection started in 1918, after the heavens were clean enough, after Satan gone. close to the appointment of wt inc as the F&DS.

Thank you for posting, hope to see the full article.

It reminded me slightly of this load of old codswallop...

    ***w10 9/15 p.23 par.8 “Your Leader Is One, the Christ” ***
The anointed and their other sheep companions recognize that by following the lead of the modern-day Governing Body, they are in fact following their Leader, Christ.

    and...

-- w10 9/15 p. 13 par. 8: "Similarly today, a Governing Body composed of spirit-anointed Christians contributes to the unity of the worldwide congregation. The Governing Body publishes spiritually encouraging literature in many languages. This spiritual food is based on God’s Word. Thus, what is taught is not from men but from Jehovah.—Isa. 54:13."

I'd ask though, that if the GovBod are all supposed to be 'anointed(tm)', which ones of them are lunatics by their own definition?

when I looked last (many years ago) the heavenly resurrection started in 1918, after the heavens were clean enough, after Satan gone. close to the appointment of wt inc as the F&DS.

And why were the WT Inc. appointed as the F&DS around 1919 ? Because of what they were teaching back then ,according to JW`s.

Do JW`s today teach the same things as was taught back in 1919 ? No of course not .

So ,if they were approved in 1919 for what they taught they would be rejected today as the F&DS because they do not now believe what was taught in 1919.

S3 in a way they do:

"----Millions now living will never die" it is just different millions, because those "1918" millions are dead now. and

We are not talking anointed in this case, because the anointed will have to die, but

should die only after Armageddon, according to Jesus, and contrary to the current wt doctrine that the anointed die at the outset of the Great Tribulation.

To assure your being picked for heavenly rulership it is recommended to move to a country where beheading is the favoured sport. not sipping wine and eating crackers only. Rev 20.
