i just cannot imagine marrying an inmate that has no possiblity of parole: that means she has either no sex for the rest of her life or she has to commit adultery. Not to mention that she will have to work for the rest of her days and never have the comfort of a man to do "honey-do's", never have that "brother" to go out in service with or to meetings with. Yes, she can say she is married, but soon it will be like being a neglected single sister again. All this and having a "head" tell her what she can and can't do.

I couldn't do it any more than I could stay under the rule of never being allowed to marry again because the ex would never give me grounds..
I have to have sum!

you would think it would be like the ultimate witness for a JW...you got chastity, study w/the inmate, correspondence filled with scriptures, mail shipments of the latest and greatest JW stuff going right to all those other inmates around...eh...What else could one ask for?

Actually, they can't mail books and magazines. They have to come directly from the publisher. So much contraband was getting snuck in that way --- either between pages, in the covers or on the pages themselves.

um simple...how long's the hubby been out? *LOL* Really though, so how does that work if they don't even do mags subscriptions anymore you ask? But wait! Jehovah uses the Satanic Internet to spread the good news of the kingdom that's how! https://watch002.securesites.net/contact/submit.htm Sincerely, District Overbeer

Since I work for a large institution with 1400-1500 inmates, I can answer how inmates get Watchtower Literature. JW congregations can coordinate with the prison/jail chaplain to set up religious services and distribute religious material. As long as the literature is inspected by a prison/jail official, it can be distributed to the inmate population. Talk about making placements and return visits! That would be a wonderful way to inflate the JW service hours.

I think in reality conjugal visits are a thing of the past. There may be a few exceptions, but I think this is mainly a "movie" concept.
