Maybe they want to be all moved and comfy before the AGM because they are going to have to announce some 'bad-news' that might discourage the free-help and donation flow.

So far the plausible explanations seem to be:

    1. Someone royally screwed up the planning.
    2. There's some financial incentive for them to move out of the other properties sooner.
    3. They're planning something for the AGM that necessitates them being in their new cult compound.

    Am I missing any?

    Could be all 3 OEJ.

They are making sure to just get professional level workers. They can run the work-much of it-24/7.

Both things will make work go much faster. Few jws would complain about long or odd shifts.

N family life removes a lot of distraction and drama and costs.Time and money savings. They have removed any idea of breaks for family outings.

I bet you 500 gobblezillion dollars that the next big JW rumor is this:

"The governing body knows that the Great Tribulation is going to start by October 1 2016! That's why they have accelerated the pace of the construction, so they can be safely hidden away and still direct the organization!"

  • ToesUp

"so they can be safely hidden away"

Funny you say this. How much do you want to bet there is a bomb shelter and tunnels under that resort. If these guys had to go to prison for the preaching work (as they say), they wouldn't last a second. They would be crying for their ma ma's. lol

  • JWdaughter

Nah. They dont have to make any announcements just because of AGM. They dont want to move in winter!

Ok, I just think losing amateurs and family life will massively increase the pace. Time is money.Nyc is expensive. Paying expenses in two locations vs one is. Christmas in nyc is wonderful. Cant have that! Could be a special WT issue planned for oct about money again. Or is that nov? Well, nowadays, the traditional money grubbing issue doesnt constrain them from soliciting funds year round.

Is it too much to ask from God's own organisation that they actually say what they are doing and why instead of speaking in theocratic code designed to conceal rather than openly explain what's actually going on?
  • sir82

Yes, it is too much to ask.

These people speak for God, for heavens sake. They don't owe ignorant peons any explanations.
