If true what a waste of dedicated funds that could have been used to build 1000's of K.h's in africa
Is is true one of the new residence buildings at Warwick was never used and lays empty?
That very well could be true. There's not enough bethelites to fill it up with all the cutbacks. What a waste as are so many other things they do.
LOL. The entire WT study of last Sunday was devoted to the 0.01% of JWs who will be affected by the next round of Bethel layoffs.
By 2020 there will probably be 2, 3, or even more unoccupied buildings at Warwick.
I can't recall ever seeing such a narrowly focused article, on a topic that affects such a minuscule proportion of the JW population.
There must be A LOT of negativity coming from the thousands of ex-Bethelites "reassigned to the field" (WT corporate-speak for "don't let the door hit ya on the way out, suckers").
We've got a couple who were fired from Bethel way back 10 or so years ago in the first round of Bethel layoffs, and they still positively ooze resentment and frustration - even after 10 years.
The next round of bethel lay offs ??? does this mean that there will be even more cuts in the near future WOW
The next round of bethel lay offs ??? does this mean that there will be even more cuts in the near future
I don't know for sure, of course, but why else would the GB devote the entire WT study to "Here's the way you ought to behave when you are released from Bethel service" unless they were planning more?
Even the photos were exclusively of Bethelites looking shocked when getting the axe, then in the next set of photos they are finding true joy and contentment because they can now stand dumbly at a WT apathy cart for 4 hours a day.
There was virtually nothing in the article that would benefit a "regular" JW.
?? Well, this showed up on my "Jehovah's Witnesses" Google search today. Profitable future "Charity" business? Getting "Ceasar" to foot the bill? https://www.seniorliving.org/basics/religiousbased/jehovahs-witness/
Sir 82,--"here was virtually nothing in the article that would benefit a "regular" JW."
this only shows how utterly insular is the wt thinking. Their world is that backyard in NY, not the world..
and the 'senior care..$3 to 5 thousand a month? where would an average jw get that sort of money? any suggestions?
Sir 82 its easy to see why you thought what you did
As an FYI from a couple that live there (long-time friends), yes, there is still a lot of space there that is unused.
(Or as they say, room for expansion).
