Average age of JWs will be over 65 soon

most congregations will look like old people gatherings

young people just don’t want to stay anymore

There is a window just under teens or perhaps early teens and if the young person doesn’t get baptised at that time then that’s it. They go through to 20s unbaptised then that’s it they leave

And based on events I am hearing, they are aggressively working to keep that generation from leaving. A PIMO family member tells me there is an unbaptised 10 or 11 year old son of one of the prominent elders who is now walking the mics.

Oh yes loads of little boys doing microphones they can only just see over the head of people sitting down.

how Does this make the men of all ages feel in the congregation who the elders feel don’t qualify for the microphone duty?

they will feel ok then I’m not bothered to do anything

They took me off microphones when I had not been out in the ministry for a few months, but when they needed a highly specialized and uncommon and skill for a building project, they we quick to call.

I explained that I was not qualified to even hold a microphone, so "I don't see any way that I can help you".

    That felt so good.

hoser - “…Zoom killed the org.”

    It’s funny…

….it’s pretty obvious by now that the real reason they told folks to stay home and use Zoom was because their charity status would have been threatened otherwise (there were a few cases in the news where a church wouldn’t comply, and that’s exactly what happened).

Since the Org’s business model needs its tax-exemption to stay in the black - i.e. its financial survival is dependent on it - they had no choice but to play ball…

…but all the long-term effects of Zoom use - a genie they just can’t seem to cram back in the bottle - are slowly causing the same result.

    😏

Yes that’s also true of young brothers who are not baptised yet. Well the elders say he doesn’t qualify for microphones so obviously he doesn’t qualify for baptism

This is also true about the clot shot. They had to say God wants you to have it as all religious leaders had to if they wanted to keep getting charitable status
