We'll miss you, tink! I was looking forward to meeting you, once the stampede of eligible young bachelors had subsided somewhat. Well, think about it some more -- you can always make a last-minute decision, right?

We found a babysitter for Saturday night! Hey, Valis, what are the other plans for the weekend, that maybe we can bring the kids along to? DMA? Sixth Floor Museum? Grassy knoll? Dairy Queen?

Hey Nina!...Well yeah on Saturday I thought we could all meet at the Bradford and hit the museums, and we could also go to the park for some pinata action. I thought perhaps on Friday I would make myself available for those arriving to field phone calls, meet up, give directions, etc..Some with kids might even want to take the train to the zoo and meet back with the museum goers in the West End for some lunch...maybe at Sonny Bryants..

    Sincerely,

I was hoping to bring Jennie and Jackson to the art museum and the sixth floor. Jennie has always been an art fanatic and lately has become very interested in the JFK assassination.

If you don't think children are appropriate for Saturday afternoon, let me know and we can take them another time. I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable with having children around.

Big T...I think kids will be fine and think it good if we can incorporate them into our festivities and I know they will having a good time whacking a pinata...I really don't know what would be inapropriate about having them for dinner, but maybe to give you and my phone wife a break from child wrangling for a night out. Also I thought maybe on Friday night we could go out for drinks and dancing or something.

    Sincerely,

No dinner would be different, but we were thinking that since some were going to bounce around museums, it might be a good opportunity (especially for a precocious 10 year old) to tag along. Obviously, we're not talking about the Bradford, but just the museum, pinatas, etc. stuff like that. But I did want to throw it out there so if anyone has a problem now is the time to speak up.

To Jennie's great chagrin, we have a babysitter for Saturday night. I'm not sure if we can get away with doing that on Friday night too, so we'll have to see about the Friday night festivities, but hopefully we can drop in after work for a little while. They'll LOVE the pinata!!! Hey, my best friend is trying to trade days (she works for United) so she can come down here for the 'fest too! If she does, it will be her first one, and I know she'll have a great time. We met on the school playground in second grade and discovered we were both Witnesses by the "no blood transfusion" on our ID bracelets. We bonded and stayed best friends all through school -- her family moved to the Virgin Islands shortly after we did, so the only time we were really separated was when we were in Australia (not for lack of trying on her dad's part, but he couldn't get a work permit to move there). We stood up at each other's weddings, and while her two boys were growing up I traveled up there as often as I could and watched them grow. I was Aunt 'Stina (they couldn't pronounce Christina) and I love them dearly. Now they're all grown up. Anyway, she quit going to meetings before I did, so I have some catching up to do!

    Oh, oh, two more weeks!!!

    Nina
