The events I described took place in Savannah, Georgia around 1984.
It should be clear from my post that, no, the congregation didn't know the Borg was involved until after the fact.
AND, as has been pointed out, laws differ state-to-state, and there is no guarantee that JWs must be registered, New York style, so that their tracks CAN be traced. I mean, if they were out to be sneaky, and they were, why should they do anything that would make it easy for someone who has a modicum of experience in the insurance biz track them down? Inconsistent.
If anyone can get the real goods on 'em, I'd applaud you.
