I am currently taking yoga (Iyengar style, sp?)classes. They, incidentaly, have no reference to anything "demonic or spritual" simply a form of exercises in aligning the body and developing strength. And, I feel wonderful for the rest of the day after class!!!

I take Hatha Yoga. Princess and I do it together. All levels are there, and sometimes I feel silly but I keep going.

meditation..she told me this is when the demons take over...when you block out thoughts..lol
Yeah....dubs fear-based religious beliefs will stifle any natural spirituality dwelling within us ... if we choose to hang on to that... How many times have we heard these words: "Don't trust your heartTM"
For me ... meditation helps me get in touch with my deepest spiritual self... and listen to my intuition and my heart. As I trust my intuition and it guides me in a healthy way, I learn to trust myself and gain confidence in myself and my choices. I find that peaceful place inside myself and believe in myself. Everything I need to know is aready inside me, waiting to express itself.
Except of course, how to turn off the red!!!

Sometimes a little quiet and some passionflower tea are just the ticket, for me at least! My fave herbal tea is passionflower, chamomile, peppermint, and wee bit o' licorice root. Homemade, of course, herbal tea never tastes as good premixed.

I have read and studied new age thinking. One good new age writer is Wayne Dyer. I am reading his latest book, "There's a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem". I have read about 8 of his books. He is a disciple of Ralph Waldo Emerson who was a new age thinker in Transcendentalism. One of his great essay was "Self-Reliance",
"Man is his own star; and the soul that can
Render an honest and a perfect man,
Commands all light, all influence, all fate;
Nothing to him falls early or too late.
Our acts our angels are, or good or ill,
Our fatal shadows that walk by us still."
I don't know if i would classify Thomas Paine's "The Age of Reason" as new age but it was a real eye opener. Anyway there is a lot of New Age stuff available. Just surf the Net you will find lots of information. Just be careful not to get involved with any group that may call themselves New Age but maybe a cult in disguise.Will
