I walked away in 2001. Viewed negatively.
I was a single working woman with a full-time job that I refused to quit to appease these people. Some were jealous and/or hated single women they couldn’t exploit. I am retired now and very glad I ignored the Witnesses and their unwise advice!

I'm so glad I left before that was an issue for me. The idea of no sex before marriage is dangerous as it leads to mistakes like that, not that being in the religion would have stopped me doing it
