Lost in the fog, Can you point out or source some references from the WT publications where they have used the term "New Light" while changing or adjusting their doctrines?

But the light is not getting brighter if you follow the JW idea behind it...CT RUssell said that new light would come but would not extinguish old light...it would not replace it...hence adding two candles to a dark room makes it brighter than one as new light enhances the old light.

But what we have in JW land is new light replacing old light...one candle is blown out and another lit...the room does not get brighter if you do this.

Overlapping generations REPLACES the literal generation idea...the literal generation is "blown out" replaced by an overlapping one.

Therefore, CT Russels idea of "new light" is wildly different to what JW's proclaim as new light today and that new idea fails to explain how things are getting "brighter".

If the old light was only a dim candle and the new one a brighter burn, then OK. But "new light " is recieved with the same sleepy "ho-hum" attitude as the rest of the regurgitated "light." It doesn't actually mean or change anything. It doesn't brighten the room.

It's another example of how the WBT$ takes scriptures way out of context. Next, they'll be claiming the parable of the 'faithful steward' links to their leaders somehow....................oh, wait.................

Searching

If there is one thing that never ceases to frustrate me about the WTS it is the way they love to twist scripture to suite their needs. The "Light getting brighter has always been one such verse that made me wrinkle my nose and shake my head.

When reading the verse in-context, it's obvious that the intend of the scripture has absolutely nothing to do with revealing or refining truths as the end draws near.

The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.
But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know what makes them stumble. (Prov. 4:18-19) (NIV)

I firmly believe that if more people read through their cherry picked scriptures in their entirety, there would be more seeds of doubt planted in the minds of those still in.

The WT/GB today change a doctrine based on scripture and call it New Light contradicting C.T.Russell`s use of "New Light"
