slim I certainly wouldn't advocate reductive materialism or radical emergence if by this you mean everything can be reduced to the sum of its parts. In fact emergence is to do with what happens spontaneously when self organisation results in what can be seen to be much more than the mere sum of its parts. in this scenario one must allow for wonder and mystery as we are very very far away from understanding what drives self organisation. There are no laws only patterns that we can discern. Humans have to make laws for themselves and from this we extrapolate that the universe is run by pre existing laws. this latter part of panpsychism I don't agree with.
