JWs believe that TODAY, the time we live in is the worst time EVER in history. I know cause I just had a JW tell me yesterday this was the case. He pointed to Covid, the Russian-Ukraine war, the high gas prices and the food shortage happening.
It couldn't be clearer that we are living in the Last days according to him.
But according to some historians, 536 was the worse time to be born. Plus there was no internet so I wouldn't be typing had I lived back then.
If you are living right now in Ukraine, maybe yes, its probably the worst year at least in your lifetime. Globally speaking though, there were still plenty of worst years in history.

I have had conversations with dub relatives along similar lines . They know that these times are the worst because they hear it from the WTS on their Apple IPad . They see shocking images from Ukraine on their massive televisions and worry that if the price of petrol gets worse they might have limit the use of their car.
All these things were not available to people like us even a few years ago... and they think times are bad! This takes nothing away from the real suffering of those in Ukraine and Yemen , and other such places . Even so , the world has suffered worse things in the past . It is all about what is shown to you .

Every time someone talks about how things are "worse than ever" now, I invite them to take a peek at dental instruments in use up to about 100 years ago.
And then remind them about how there was no novocaine.
And then ask them, if they would get dental problems, which era would they prefer to live in?
Yes, I know it's slightly silly, but it somehow "personalizes" the question of "are things now really now worse than ever before?"
Looks like the Jobots are still believing the fear mongering of the main stream media. It plays into their doom narrative.
It's surely subjective to individuals what is worst.

Alice Cooper is touring the UK soon and I'm going to see him in Birmingham, so it can't be that bad.
Things have been bad over the last two years with Covid and the Russia/Ukraine problems.
However, just remember WW2, it went on for six years! Bombings all over Britain, soldiers going to fight and never returning or returning with dreadful physical/mental issues. The death toll was horrendous. The food shortages and deprivations continued long after the end of the war, I remember the ration books well into the 1950's. Then petrol was rationed because of the Suez crisis, my father had a motorbike so he got half a gallon per week.
End time religions like JW's just pray for wars and earthquakes or other natural disasters just to keep the membership up or the lax ones returning.
