I'm pretty sure I have ptsd because of this cult. I now experience headaches pretty much daily and find myself poping Excedrin migraine pills 3-4 a day. Also I'm drinking alcohol a bit to take the edge off. In the past I would ingest some legal pot for some help but haven't used it since I ran out. Didn't seem to work any better the Excedrin anyway. The headaches are getting worse and having a hard time even concentrating on things. I know I need to see a professional but not sure exactly who and what to say or even if they can be of any help. Please advise, thank you.

I have chronic migraines. Multiple types. Please do see a professional. There are treatments, medical and non medicine. Each person is different. If yours are new headaches it is crucial you see a medical professional asap to rule out organic causes.

You need to get some professional help.

I also recommend you try meditation, it had been life changing for me as I have ADHD, it calms my thinking down so I can function better. It's easy to do but takes practice, costs nothing and has no bad side effects.

Like Lisa said, please see a doctor, I get migraines but not nearly as common as yourself, they increased significantly when I started waking up along with some other health problems, eventually I saw my doctor and told him about my situation.

That led to me having some counselling and it really helped get rid of a lot of stress and the headaches eased off, I would recommend it to anyone providing you find the right professional.

Hope you get it sorted bud.

First, see a general practitioner. They would know which specialist they can refer you to.

I strongly recommend Heal Your Headache The 1-2-3 Program by David Buchholz, M.D. of John Hopkins. I refer back to this book all the time.

It discusses all the triggers of migraines. You will be totally surprised what foods and things in your home will increase your headaches. Many things in the environment also play a major role in migraines. Stress is one of the major factors.

A lot of medication will trigger migraines.

Simple things like changing your laundry detergent and softner to a free and clear will help tremendously. Remover all air freshners from your home for a couple of weeks then replace them with natural scents like lemon. Be careful of cleaning supplies.

PM me if you have any questions, I have fine tuned my house. My daughter calls it the Free and Clear Zone. LOL

When you talk to a doctor don't be afraid to mention the stress you are under because of this religion that you are stuck in and think may be a trigger for your headaches and ask if they can refer you to a counselor. They won't be able to help you fully unless you are completely honest.

Feel like your mental health is declining? Seek help from a competent mental health professional. It really is that simple (at least as a first step). Try to stay away from anything habit forming, you'll just end up with two problems instead of one.

In addition to what others have said to you about getting professional advice. I'd advise you to be careful with over the counter medications and other forms of self medicating. You don't want to end up with a physical ailment in addition to the mental strain you are under.

I also advise you to visit this site only on occasion and only visit to let us know what's on your mind (if you find that helpful) and only read the comments others have made on your post. I wouldn't read any of the other posts and comments as it may be too much for you right now. It sounds like you are reaching, or have reached the saturation point with the topic of Jehovah's Witnesses. I'm guessing you already know all you need to know on that subject and may need to focus on your own peace of mind rather than what is going on in the JW and "former" JW world.

Sometimes enough is enough and dwelling on or rehashing over yours or others grievances about their experiences with that religion, may have stopped being therapeutic and may not be healthy for you at this point.

It's common knowledge that stress is often the cause of headaches and other more serious ailments. At this point you may need to avoid other stressors such as watching certain movies or television shows and especially the news.

You are all wonderful people. Please take a special note of rebelfighter there in removing chemicals from your home like 'air-fresheners'.

I too suffer occasional migraines and ptsd. please see your doctor for referral to a counsellor and maybe get you meds reviewed. A full body massage works a treat too.
