I admit I have a soft spot for Leonard Cohen's music. I had a customer come in who sings for funerals, he just told me his most requested is Cohen's "Hallelujah". A good friend used to sing it at Christmas in her church! A beautiful song but certainly not a religious one as is often assumed. lol.

    Any fans?

I love Leonard Cohen's music - that song (Hallelujah) especially.

I think in its original form it has many verses that are not commonly sung.

It's a hard song to sing and not very many can really do it justice.

I heard that song sung by several other people before I made the connection to Leonard Cohen. Then I purchased a CD of his with that song on it.

I watched a show on PBS where various famous singers each sang one of his signature songs. k.d. lang sang Hallelujah.

A better way of looking at life with its ups and downs, a crack in everything.

Hallelujah - Jeff Buckley did it best.

Funny how a song can make me cry when real life sometimes leaves me numb.

I, too, big fan - have a couple of Cohen's CDs. He was quite a talent. KD Lang's Hallelujah is beautiful.
