I understand Phal is the hottest, and is like eating raw chilli's.
I last tried it over a decade ago, and I still shiver twhen I think about it.

I'll eat any, but I prefer to taste my food, so it'll often be a Biryani or a Korma.

    Curry roolz!!!

Pataks is a family owned firm which has a great rags-to-riches history. They makes some wonderful stuff, it's always handy to have a few jars in the cupboard just in case.

    mmmmmmm...currrryyyyy (said in homer's voice)

had curried goat and chicken today.

    beans,

try Sharwoods - it's available in Canada. Comes in a jar about the same size as Pataks, but it's powdered (mild, hot, super hot). Awesome stuff!!

have you tried putting a little in your omelettes/scrambled eggs - yum.

    hot!hot!hot! yippee!

My boyfriend is a curry fanatic--he eats about two-three times a week.

I however can't stand it. The smell doesn't bother me, thank goodness--I think it smells great--but I can't handle spicy food.
