It may be a stupid question, but what are flash mobs?
Can you translate this Aussie lingo into British English, please.

A flash mob is when somebody circulates on social media that people should assemble at a certain place and time. This can be dangerous with unruly crowds, etc.
Here in the U.S., people want to use a flash mob to storm Area 51, which is off limits according to the government. The military will stop anybody from getting close..It should be interesting to see what happens.
Flash mobs are not a good thing and should be outlawed, in many people’s opinions.
