Whenever I heard a know-nothing JW loyalist mention wooly mammoths as "proof" of the Deluge, I'd always counter it with, "If that's truly the case, you also have to accept it as proof of the Ice Age... after all, animals with that kind of fur don't have it for no reason."

Well, my guy simply said that long hair on mammoths was for the same reason that some animals in Africa have long hair today, which is... well, I doubt he knows.

Panda's live in a cool climate I also believe great apes live in a cooler climate in Africa. I can't think of a woolly animal living in a topical climate, can you.
