    I'm a little dumb struck to see that Donald Trump's first cross word against Russia are in support of the JWs.

    Is this because Trump genuinely values freedom of Religion? Or is it because his Son in law Jared Kushner has financial dealings with the JWs? Kushner even appeared heavily in a JW video (he probably had the most speaking time for any "wordly person" in all their videos). He's featured quite heavily:

    Coincidentally, Trump has also had some overlap with his campaign events being held in the same buildings a JW conventions.

    All of the above and that the jw will be seen a "American as Moms apple pie" and there fore must be supported.

    Trump empathises with the idea that companies should not be prevented from making millions of Dollars out of property income, even nasty global businesses like the Watchtower Organization Property Scam (WOPS).

    Possibly by selling some of the old Brooklyn HQ to the Trump family gave the JWorg an opening to smooth the way for their own political and business ambitions.

    Incidentally what a "fine" slimy over the top presentation Semonian gives with his emotive talk and gesturing.

    It's like Kushner agreed to do an infomercial for WTS. He and Trump are both NYC residents and WT has always had an impressive presence there (not an invisible one with the WT sign blazing as everyone crossed the bridge). And regardless what you think of the doctrine or policies of the bOrg, JWs are trained to always try to make a good appearance. (In fact, much of WTS/JWs is about appearances. Everything looks nice and clean and "white" -- like whitewashed graves.)

    I heard form couple of brothers with connection to HQ that the news is fake.

    I also saw some facebook posts requesting JW members to stop sharing it.

    The way i see it:

    1- Trump jumped on the wagon and supports this since JW is an American religion. WTBS does not want his endorsement since due to the tension between Trump and Putin, it may back fire on JWs in their appeal. So claiming it is fake.

    Or

    2- It is actually Fake and should be discarded. But due to the tension between Trump and Putin, this news may back fire on JWs in their appeal.

    Both ways, WTBS will not get the result they hoped in Russia.
