I searched for "United Nations" on the WTLIB 2001 CD, and it showed the Awake in question. However, it does not appear in the "Articles with most occurrences" section. If that's where you were looking, it explains why you didn't see it. Look at the box above it... that's where the complete matching list is shown.
I've had some problems, until I noticed that little box to the right where it offers a drop-down menu of "all words, any words, phrase, boolean expression." I now have mine set for "all words," and with that setting the phrase united nations didn't show that Awake article, but United Nations did.

That's why I have kept all of the CD ROMS. What I can't find on one I can normally find on another.
It's the same with the indexes. When they produced the composite 1930-85 they missed out several references to 1975.
