I also agree it would be wiser if you learn about this religion from a distance. This advice would also hold for any other group as well.
Members of any religion or group are very biased in favor of their group and tend to hide unfavorable news about themselves.
The JWs were not honest and upfront with me about what their religion is really all about. If I knew then what I know now I would have avoided all the aggravation and disillusionment I experienced. What a lesson learned!
