Last evening (15 Nov 2019) at a high school football game in New Jersey, another shooting. "Fortunately," the injuries are apparently not life threatening.

That's at least the second shooting this week.

If all the students were armed, they could have just shot the guy.

We need more guns, not less. I'm putting my MAGA hat back on.

It always helps to provide an actual link to the perpetrators.

In this particular case, ADULT black male gang-bangers from that waterfront, crime-infested shithole, Atlantic City.

Wyatt [27] is charged with three counts of attempted murder, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Michael Mack, 27; Tyrell Dorn, 28, and Shahid Dixon, all of Atlantic City, along with Vance Golden, 26, of Pleasantville, are charged with weapons offenses, including possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

Dixon is also charged with eluding.

“Unlike some of the shootings that have occurred on school premises throughout the country, this incident had nothing to do with the students of Pleasantville High School or Camden High School. The venue simply presented an opportunity for criminals to pursue their own form of petty vengeance against one another. As a result, an innocent child was caught and injured in their crossfire. Our community will not be held hostage by a few idiots intent on jeopardizing our safety and the safety of our children.”

When GROWN-ASS ADULTS destroy everything good and wholesome about innocent children's sporting events, can we really characterize it as another "school shooting"?

It's true-blue Democrat NJ's catch-and-release approach to repeat offenders who CHOOSE VIOLENCE by default.

    I read something interesting recently...

...that many spree shooters actually have a lot in common - psychologically - with serial killers, and based on that, it's been theorized that because many aspects of the Information Age actually makes being a serial killer (statistically) more difficult, their proclivities build up to the point where, instead of hunting victims one by one, they opt to get it all out of their system in one blaze of bloodbath glory.

Really?? You think a school full of armed school kids is a good idea?

Imagine what the death toll of the bystanders would have been if a school full of armed teens all began shooting as soon as they heard the gunshot? Not to mention all the accidental mishaps that would likely happen during a normal school day, if everyone were carrying a gun.

    Pete Z ...

Kids have 2nd Amendment rights too. Remember, the more guns we have the safer we will be. Just ask the NRA.

It is an important point though, very often there is a rush to legislate and people don't think through the consequences - what happens at the other end of the pendulum's swing and how people could take advantage of the new reality.

Want to kill a load of people? No need to bring a gun, just create a "bang" and watch people draw and shoot all the other people who have drawn to shoot.

It's the challenge with all the "arm everyone" solutions - how do people know who they should and shouldn't shoot. If only there were some kind of badge and / or uniform that the people enforcing lawful order could wear to make it clear ...

But back to this incident: think about whether you see it reported and how quickly it vanishes even if you do, because it's not a white kid with a legal weapon. Anything that doesn't fit a narrative is buried. How many black people have to shoot or be shot to make it news-worthy? Seems a tad racist doesn't it?

Its funny to me how liberals equate guns to murder but never Muslims to terror.

Schools in the USA have a serious problem of lone students shooting other children.

Clearly, there needs to be effective solutions.

One effective solution could be trained people being employed as armed security.

A crazy 16 year old armed with a gun is very powerful. Only an appropriately armed and trained adult can stop him.

So, yeah, armed security in schools could work.
