What is the minimum meeting attendace for someone, who is of good health, has not children doesn't work in a Job that requires travel and lives about 3 miles from the KH? Is 50% for CLAM and 75% for Watchtower acceptable?

Knowing the way that lot works, probably 110%!

Depends upon what area you are in. If in "The West" then general meeting attendance has degraded markedly from 90% to about 70%. Many "listen in" with phantom illnesses that wouldn't stop them from e.g. going to work, shopping or eating out.

Also depends upon the body of elders world view as a group.

Usual rules apply - if the brother wishes to qualify as an elder he is unlikely to be allowed. If he already is an elder then one or two on the body will have a quiet word with him.

But if he is otherwise liked and used and especially if there is a need in the hall for elders then he will probably be allowed to continue with much tut-tutting and eye rolling from those in the cong that have their antenna up for inconsistency and hypocrisy.

As Freddo says, it all depends on WHO he is, and HOW well liked he is...or if he is the BULLY elder...

What EXACTLY are YOU actually complaining about?

You joined this forum six hours ago - is the OP question related to your second, and only other, post you've made here?

I ask this because this total knob of a Australian in Chiang Mai is a shifty little cunt who cannot be trusted.

    For starters: "75% for Watchtower"

Yeah, that's NORMAL for Elders - after all that just equates to giving one public talk 'away', plus usual holiday time away.

Also, read the 17 March 2013 letter to the Bodies of Elders

But once your in as an elder, you can play the sick card, elders and disabled stickers go hand in hand. Eldership is all about who you are related to.

There's no rule. As others mentioned, they make up rules and benefits as they please.

One thing is certain. At the circuit overseers visit ALL elders, ministerial servants, pioneers and their wives will be at least 1/2 hour early and be on their best behaviour.
