    I'm at the point now that when I read one of Fish's WT-defense posts, I find myself asking the same incredulous question I ask when I learn about how elders handled this shit in the first place...

    ..."is he crazy, or just plain stupid?".

    It's not that.

    It's because if the actual scope of the problem were to become well-known - and more importantly, believed - amongst the membership, said membership would plummet - and the absolutely vital financial support it provides would be at severe risk.

    And the Org simply cannot allow that.
