I believe what you are referring to was mentioned at the "God's Word Is Truth", convention.
Just think of all the Dubs who have died since then. The "End" did not come in their lifetime, they knew it before they drew their last breath. I guess they died as apostates.

The WTS uses various ways and means to instill fear into people's minds, that imposed fear controls people's action which is designed to nevertheless maintain the organization to all of its operations.
