The thread talks about the GB's claim that other members of the annointed (besides themselves) are in communication with Jehovah through Jesus.

    LDH,

i've known six or eight 'anointed' ones. all were married.

one was/is female. she'd be in her early fifties now. as i
reacall, she spent very little time in service. i know
because for a time ten years ago her family and mine
were in the same book study. she rarely showed for any
meeting for service EVER. she kept a very low profile at
the meetings, too. rarely commented. very nice one on
    one, though.very personable.

one was/is black, believe it or not. again, he'd be in his
early to mid fifties now. he was a hobo in his early years,
or so the story went. he was a very good speaker and
spoke as if he was speaking directly to you. overall, he
was the most dynamic personality of all the anointed
that i've known. spent a weekend with him and his wife
once and they had a minor argument right in front of me
and other visitors. i was newly married then and was
amazed when he was very rough with her verbally right
in front of everyone. i thought, "man, this dude ain't
    to be messed with..."

one was a featured "prayer" at the summer conventions.
no joke. he'd always be given the privilege of closing the
district's sunday session, often times over the visiting GB
member. but, i'll have to say, he could pray. it was beautiful,
the words he used and the expressions he made. if you
weren't careful, you'd find yourself with watery eyes and a
huge lump in your throat. you'd almost want the prayers not
to end. very heartfelt and moving prayers. in person you'd
never know he had 'the calling.' not humble in the extreme
but just one of the guys. good sense of humor. a good guy.

all of them were reasonably decent people. their roles? aw,
Man, come on! you know they played no part in the direction
the movement took (or takes). they wait to see what's going
to be in the mags and on the assembly programs just like
everyone else. wouldn't be that way if they were REALLY
    Christ's brothers.

    later,
    todd
