Its either the Bible, then JWs are the closest to the truth, or the old 19century science theory of evolution. But 21 century science has proved the old 19 century theory wrong.

What is the other alternative to JWs?

Have you looked into the Unitarian Universalist Church? No strong dogma, pretty much believe what you want, but provide an accepting community.

You're either ignorant or lying. 21st century science has consistently upheld Darwin and Wallace. Modern genetics have corroborated the theory of evolution by natural selection in a way Darwin could never have imagined.

FWIW my advice, Alostpuppydog, is don't join an organised religion.

If you are some kind of Christian, why not just read the Bible, with an emphasis on the NT, and apply Jesus' words in your life?

You know the kinda things I'm talking about - pay back Casear's things to Caesar but God's things to God; obey the authorities and pay taxes; do good things; be ready to forgive others; be faithful to your partner, etc ...

Instead of wasting your time on something based on mythology presented as factually true, why not create something based on the real world? Maybe grow a garden. Perhaps help feed less fortunate people with said garden. I think you might find it immensely more rewarding.

If you have to find a new religion visit this one:

http://www.uua.org/beliefs/what-we-believe/sources they even have women ministers.

But the bottom line is this:

"The natural language of God is silence.......everything else is a bad translation."

Look at all religions and see what they believe, teach, and practice.

Examine your beliefs and their foundation, not what others tell you.

Be prepared to come to the conclusion that no organized religion fits what you are looking for.

What makes you think there is one or has to be? You've taken your "map" of how you were taught the world "should be" and are still trying to use it - even though there are compelling reasons to dismiss the whole map is completely wrong.

JW organization reflects its origins as a 19th century end-time religion, not dissimilar to the Adventists and Christadelphians. Besides, as times passes, JWs eschatology (please do yourself a favor: look it up and educate yourself and start o develop a more critical outlook) is increasingly shaky and a product of the age it was first developed.

Read what Richard Dawkins has to say about people who try to "fit" the world into their understanding of the world - and when it doesn't fit, become confused and forlorn. You are a product of where you were born and raised. If you had been born into a Muslim community in the Middle East or another country where Islam is practised, you'd have a different "map" for understanding the world.
