Of course, a syudent who demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of the basic JW teachings may be counselled to study some more.
IW, I think even many elders do not understand the basis of JW theology, or, cannot correctly reason about that basis. Many find it sufficient that the organization is "good", relative to the rest of Christinadom, and promotes moral ideas, is enough.
