The reason I'm posting is that I don't understand if you want actual parables (which would be way beyond me!) or more of an epigram type statement.
(epigram: : a terse, sage, or witty and often paradoxical saying; Oscar Wilde excelled at these. Example: "The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about at all", "I can resist everything but temptation")
