Typical tabloid prophecy! Watch the news on TV and then change your beliefs to fit modern day events...then pretend its all in the Bible.
Strangly enough the doomsday prophets of Christendom have been saying this about Islam for years, and the Watchtower has only just got it! Too slow! But then look how slow they were at changing the 1874 date to fit in with the 1914 prophecy.

Let me get this straight - you have to accept the false version to accept the true version? What kinda logic is that??
There's speculation on all levels I would imagine, or guesses basically - the society can guess or use world events to explain the prophecies and the individuals can speculate on what they'll officially adopt as the new understanding, but that doesn't change the fact that it's the blind leading the blind.

When you keep guessing eventually you may hit upon something just because your chances will increase as your guesses mount, it doesen't mean there is much intelligence behind it.

This thought parrallels with what Bethel leader Ciro Aucilino said at a talk a few months after september 11. He told us that MAYBE it is ISLAM we should be looking out for.

The CO gave some quotes from a Sunday talk he has about armageddon, in which he related a story supposedly channeled through some Bethelite high ups about an inquiry made to persons who participated in the dismantling of the Berlin Wall. When asked why they did it, they said that they just woke up that morning with the thought in their heads, implying that it was planted there by divine suggestion

Did the boys at Bethel "know" that the wall was coming down? No? Gee, I guess Jehovah doesn't let them in on his plans either!!

Doesn't this prove that Ronald Reagan was acting under divine inspiration when he gave his famous challenge to the Russian leader of the Soviet Union, Mikhail Gorbachev, at the Berlin Wall in 1987 to "Tear Down These Walls"?

What idiots. The fact that the Soviet Union was dying economically and unable to hold on to Eastern Europe directly
led to the end of Communism there. Why should we be surprized that they utter these stupid opinions?
