Ah yes -- Brandy, you're a fine girl!! What a good wife you would be. But my life, my lover, my lady, is the sea. (SIGH)

Remember the song "The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face" - by Roberta Flack. I watched "Play Misty for Me" this past weekend on cable. What a great movie, Jessica Walter playing Evelyn. What a great prelude to "Fatal Attraction." And seeing Clint in his underwear wasn't bad either.

When I heard Roberta Flack's voice, I kid you not...I stopped what I was doing...and listened to the intro to this wonderful piece of American brilliance.

Yaaaaahhh!!!!...Isn't she great!!!....Indeed...a "wonderful piece of American brilliance"!!!

That was a theme song in a movie some years back...just can't remember the name of the movie....anyone???????

So far Away Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore It would be so fine to see your face at my door Doesn't help to know that you're just time away Long ago I reached for you, and there you stood Holding you again could only do me good How I wish I could, but you're so far away One more song about moving along the highway Can't say much of anything that's new If I could only work this life out my way I'd rather spend it being close to you But you're so far away Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore It would be so fine to see your face at my door Doesn't help to know you're so far away Yeah, you're so far away Traveling around sure gets me down and lonely Nothing else to do but close my mind I sure hope the road don't come to own me There are so many dreams I have yet to find But you're so far away Doesn't anybody stay in one place anymore It would be so fine to see your face at my door And doesn't help to know you're so far away You're so far away Yeah, you're so far away You're so far away

Music from the late 60's and early 70's are where I stored my memories. I can listen to certain songs from that era and I'm 9 or 10 years old again. Sometimes it's a good memory. Sometimes it isn't.

I just wish my parents listened to better music back then. It's sometimes rather embarrassing to be listening to Helen Reddy or Vicky Carr.
