    We have done some research here in Australia re the "charity status" that the local congregation has.

    It is perplexing that they qualify as a registered charity, and therefore pay no tax. Yet, they also posted a $0 dollar income and $0 expenses to the govt.

    In other words, they were not transparent about the true financials.

    Our local KH claimed they offered "counselling services to the community". The charity commission is being duped because they have no trained counsellors, don't do anything for the community and don't even help their own members.
