The JW organization has programs in many cities, where elders will visit prisons to preach to prisoners. It's the perfect audience- captive, downtrodden, and with lots of time to reflect. It's no surprise if your ex has suddenly discovered religion, or that he is favoring the JWs.

As others have said, a doomsday cult isn't the best place for anyone, especially children. And their record in dealing with child molestation and sexual abuse is horrible. Personally, I think you're just fine being non-religious. It means you're a step ahead of the pack. :)

Even back when I was still in, the prospect of preaching to convicts felt weird.

If he want`s to be " A Captive of A Concept" outside of prison walls then the JW religion is the one for him .

However as another has said do not let him influence your kids in anyway about the religion ,its a destructive cult to too many families.

You came to the right place here....to be forewarned is to be forearmed.

    Take care.

    Hi Jer,

This is a summary of what being a Jehovah's Witness involves. It is short but accurate.
