My mother has been told not to associate with her DF and DA kids. She knows my brother is a hard and fast apostate, and she suspects that I am....but she still visits us and claims immunity because her grandchildren are not DF or DA....she tries to find a balance and is comfortable with her stand. If the elders told her she would get DF for talking to us...I think my mother would continue to see us in secret no matter what the elders said or did. Good on ya mum...Happy Mother's Day!!

in the last 2 weeks i have spoken to a number of former jw who have mentioned that thier ACTIVE JW moms wants to be rememebered on Mother's day
we have come to the conclusion that the Reality of Death, that their live will end in this system is becoming all the more real- as one person said, give me my flowers while i am alive-
many of our parents are from the 19975 Era and with the turning of the the year 2000, it has taken on a different meaning, the religion is losing it's RUN RUN RUN to more of a Jog Jog Jog and and more and more we literaly see more of a Walk walk, i was talking to 3 folks last week who just found out that thier dads/mom are playing the Lottery just for fun

i know here in the DC area the support for Sunday Field service is all but vanished, beyond the Pioneers who got to go, most friends he out to Red Lobster instead
My mom told me that Thursday night, only 37 people were at the School and service Meeting. She said today, the speaker, who was raised in the Hall, was lamenting over the fact the Hall was not filled and that the majority of people that used to attend here are no longer associating.YUP, the Witnesses are falling by the wayside.
