    Carla:

It was the old 1st & 8th and 15th & 22nd. Watchtowers dated 1st & 15th of the month and Awake! the 8th & 22nd. So 24 issues of each magazine annually. Now it is 1 each.

In addition, the magazine have less then half the pages they used to. So, you have to factor that in as well.

The whole Watchtower religion used to be based on the idea that a member is a "Bible Student" always and forever. We were expected to be constantly studying the Bible, but to do so through the lens of the Watchtower by using their publications as a means of "explaining" what we were reading in the Bible. We were expected to be able to explain the Bible, teach the Bible, and defend our faith on our own.

That has changed. Now, the Watchtower tells its followers not to do their own study. They are told to simply listen and obey what the 8 members of the Governing Body tell them. Followers are told that if non-believers have questions to simply direct them to the Watchtower website for answers.

We have been out since 2005. Things sure have changed! So what happens on Sundays? No Watchtower Study? I have heard they cut the number of meetings down per week. Is there a Theocratic Ministry school, anymore? Seems the society is going in the wrong direction?

Cathleen - It's still watchtowers on Sundays, but the public magazines are the ones cut back. 2 meetings per week - they combined book study into the same meeting as ministry school.

Cathleen. Simple materia for Sundays in what some call the kool aid edition

The midweek material us in a " christian life and ministry" workbook. Covers 2 months and on line studying consists of clicking a reference with all of 2 paragraphs

Reduced literature, means less writers, less book room workers, less shipping, start backing your bags.

One WT and 1 Awake - they are being realistic, they know the bro and sis will take at least a year to read the magazines.

Anyway, my suggestion order 144,000 of each mag for placement. Then don't bother picking the mags up. Then go one further and put them all down on your report as placed.

I bet you don't get df'd for it. Counselled maybe. But do you actually care?
