Men do that at bethel as well. And, having been a man at bethel, i assure you the women are treated like queens compared to men. F**ing queens. Young men (new boys) are a dime a dozen and treated as such.

I feel so bad for kids whose parents are all gung ho about that religion.... Miserable life for a child.....fear drummed into them persistently...fear of everything happy and normal and positive. Emotional abuse.
