the thing is witnesses do not seek out those whom they shun to heap mental abuse on them. for them shunning is self protection and is practiced as avoiding the ones they are shunning so the abuse aspect does not fly.

    Wrong Ruby.

They Demonise ex members. They term anyone who disagrees with them as mentally diseased apostates, they also admit that shunning is just for protection it's also for loyalty and coercion. Have you not seen the latest shunning videos?

Jehovahs witnesses are not pacifists or a harmless group. This cult has killed many more of its own members than Jim Jones did.

Ruby456: They call disfellowhipping a discipline. Discipline is to punish someone, to control them in behaving a certain way. Do this or else. This abuse starts while they are in and is extended when they are out.

The point I'm trying to make is that a person has the inalienable right to choose their own religious beliefs without public condemnation, prejudice and hatred imposed by another individual or by a greater recognized established religious institution.

In addition a person should be able to be a non participant without those prevailing actions taken against them.

A right or freedom toward non belief should also be set.

which is worse? and which should be stopped? or are both set up in opposition - what I mean is that if you didn't have one you wouldn't have the other.

jws started up in opposition to the catholic church - in a way they continued on the work of protestants and of secularism. now they are opposed to all other religions and to nationalisms - so we need to see what is being aimed at them from secularism and from the catholic church - brimstone and hellfire from the catholic church. From secularism - the opposition is that they are a cult, they are killers, they abuse, coerce and imprison people who can't wait to get out. and from jehovahs witnesses to those who oppose them it is as you said

Hey Stockholm, forget about the articles, go and get the elders manual from the ARC site, it is there in the evidence as a full download. It will tell you everything you need to know.

You can also find some WT letters to the elders on some sites that direct no man can be appointed if they are in touch with their DF'd children.
