The irony is, that naturally overlapping generations have exponential growths.

wt's partakers' count fits that pattern too, contrary to all expectations for these final of the last days.

In a future publication, the JWs will revise their current understanding of "generation" as follows...

How, then, may we understand Jesus’ words about “this generation”?

There was a time when we limited Jesus’ use of the word “generation” to merely two overlapping groups of anointed ones—the first made up of anointed ones who saw the beginning of the fulfillment of the sign in 1914 and the second, anointed ones who for a time were contemporaries of the first group.

But after some consideration, we realized that there was no Scriptural reason for saying there were only two groups. Where did the number 2 come from? Why not say 3 or 4? In reality, a generation consists of many overlapping lives and groups, not just two.

Therefore it has become clear to the Governing Body that Jesus was saying that multiple lives and groups make up “this generation,” and therefore many true Christians will live during the symbolic “generation” of 1914 before the end comes.

Or was he only talking about the LAST generation that would see the end, so of course it would makes sense:"this generation wouldn't pass"....
OVERLAPPING GENERATION, is SIMPLY not in the Bible, just as Jesus mentioned "when you will see the fruit of the fig tree....", he was not talking about the seed of the fig tree that will be produced in next fig tree, or generation ....come on D. Splane !

Now learn this illustration from the fig tree: Just as soon as its young branch grows tender and sprouts its leaves, you know that summer is near.l 33 Likewise also you, when you see all these things, know that he is near at the doors.m 34 Truly I say to you that this generation will by no means pass away until all these things happen. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will by no means pass away.

As a matter of fact, "Better is the end of a matter than its beginning", Jesus saw the things from the perspective of it ends and its results...
