When I was a child we lived in San Diego. My mom was a dedicated jw. When as a child ,I brought up this Beth Sarim and why it was built, she would avoid the issue or only brush it off.
What she did tell me was about the predicted return of the princes and that Beth Sarim had been built to house them. She told me that Bill (and I think) Bonnie Heath, who owned a large soft drink bottling company in San Diego, provided a good part if not all of the finances.
Mom never mentioned Beth Shan. So I don't think she was aware of its existance
I assume that the William P Heath Jr. mentioned in this site is the Bill Heath my mom refered to.
Isn't it informing, to find that so many of these people who form wierd religions or cults, are very odd and apparently mentally obsessive and addicted to alcohol or drugs or sex.
In other words crazy.
