Imagine all JW once in 200 - 300 years migrating there countries and settling down in a undeveloped region, creating a new state, how would that be. This reminds me of a russian sect who lives in the woods and have an own community life there. The prophet of the sect calles himself "Jesus of Siberia" or Vissarion, one of his books called "The last testament" and the group is called "Church of the Last Testament" (Церковь Последнего ЗаветаTserkov Poslednego Zaveta), also known as "Community of Unified Faith".

I would only say ,as a Brit, that Welsh is not really a dead language. Those ornery Welsh Nationalists have gone to great lengths to keep it alive. Driving in Wales one feels a foreigner because the road signs are in Welsh , with an English translation beneath, if you are lucky.
However, it is only spoken by a few,on a daily basis, and I am sure they speak and read English perfectly well. So you are right....why spend such a fortune when a simple office would do?
Property speculation? Holiday home? I don't know....

I've said this many times, but IMO, it bears repeating...
...if the WTS were given control of a small country tomorrow, I guarantee you that within a decade, democracy, free speech, and freedom of religion would be nonexistent, any alternative form of sexual expression would be outlawed, creationism would be mandated in schools, advancements in science and medicine would grind to a halt, disfellowshipped individuals would be imprisoned or deported, and "apostates" would be sentenced to death without possibility of appeal or reprieve.
(Incidentally, imagine that regime encompassing the entire planet... indefinitely.)
IMO, anyone who denies this is either naïve or simply lying to themselves.
