    I was just lying here thinking about mind control and thought it'd write a list just to see how much the wts does try to control every aspect of people's lives. Some of the things I've come up with are:

    Xmas,

    Birthdays,

    Mothers day

    Fathers day,

    Easter

    Valentine's day,

    New year

    tv

    Organ transplant and donation

    Blood transfusion and donation

    Gambling -Lottery, Bingo

    Arcades

    Having Dream catchers and Wind chimes

    School clubs, discos, trips, assemblies, r.e

    Salute flag

    National anthem

    Music

    Amount of leisure time

    Friend's

    Clothing

    Drinking,

    Intimacy

    Raising kids,

    Submission,

    Headship

    Donating money

    Health care

    Disfellowshiping

    Control of research and reading material

    Ministry,

    Prayer ,

    Gatherings,

    Opposite sex - betting alone with them, not talking to the same person to often in case an attraction develops

    Work

    Education

    Was kind of shocked. I'm sure there'll be more to add to this list

    Should have a 4-door car, not a 2-door, for better accessibility when going in Field Service™ or giving rides to Meetings™.

    Minimize access to Worldly™ fashion magazines, hairstyles, novels, non-fiction reading material.

    Don't put too much emphasis on physical fitness, physical appearance (kindly keep to 1950's standards - trousers for women are too offensive to the GB's sensibilities)

    Keep your eye simple - don't indulge in luxuries, because the GB needs your money to have luxuries that they don't want you to have.

    When you become a full fledged JWS you essentially become a subservient slave to the thinking and behavioral dictates expressed by the leaders of the Watchtower Corporation.

    And to add to Fink's comment above, it basically means to "think in agreement" with whatever the "present truth" (opinions) are of the GB at that moment in time...

    Yes, your list is true and then some! Of course, all these prohibitions and do this and do that were not told to me when I was "studying". I was just told I had to quit smoking.

    If the religion laid all their cards on the table, nobody would join.
