Socialism is great until you run out of other people’s money
They have bankrupt the system, people's bills are going up massively because they have borrowed against it, defrauded the public by hiding the massive debts they were running up and pissed the money away on petty nonsense to buy votes and keep in power.
Sadly, it takes people so long to cotton on that they have done real damage by the time they are kicked out.
Had to laugh on BBC how Ford's widow is taking his brother, Doug, to court over bad business. She claims he took the family inheritance money and put it back in to their sign business that was losing a pile of money. Not off to a good start. We'll have to see how this all fairs out.
I've always been curious on how we can split our political views. Even in places like here, where we all have been in the receiving end of narcissistic ultraconservatives who feel they are entitled to the praise and money of their followers. I would expect that anyone who been where we have been would shy away from political views such us those. I am not taking about right wing ideas as whole. I am more fiscally conservative but the idea of a politician bringing their religious belief into office really scares me. Enough that I would rather vote something else. May be independent.
Not taking sides between left or right, I agree with OnTheWayOut. All politicians are the same and just as much of a hypocrite. The thing that worries me about the conservative parties and right wing ideals is this lining with religion. At least here in the US they have really cranked up the rhetoric lately. This raise of conservative, populist governments have me worried. Specially when the US begins to hang out with North Korea ( I don't really care what they "claim" the purpose to be)
Sometimes I think a world like the one depicted in the show "Handmaids Tale" is not far fetched. In fact, if the GB could be president, it would most likely happen.

They believe in evolution, they believe in separation of church and state, they don't think wind mills will slow down the earth rotation, they believe everyone is entitled to good health care, they feel social security is a good idea and should not be privatize, they feel everyone is equal, they believe science not what some bat shit fundamentalist preacher has to say, believe everyone should have a good education by not taking money away from schools and giving it to building more prisons. On and on. You talk about the mindset of liberals causes ignorance have you look at the ignorance that runs through the conservative party lately? To me it rings of wt. cult thinking by just saying bad things of people who do not think just like you. You know coments like the wt. loves to use "mentally disease".
I am happy you are free from the cult and have the freedom to speak your mind and believe want you want to. But putting down others on this board just divides us instead of supporting each other from the trauma we all went through leaving the cult. I am glad Simon is happy about conservatives taking over in Canada. But I have notice what comes around, goes around. What liberals did not screw up the conservatives will. Idiots split their believes into that conservative/liberal shit (all of them, left, right, libtards, alt-right, and whatever made up shit you claim people are. Yes, you read right, I called it all shit because it is). The rest of us normal people in their right mind, know how to make our own decisions.
