    Lucky- My wife is a nice women who is from Malta and is not a Jw, does want not anything to do with it. Made fading easy.

    This is so true. But still most brothers don’t want to do more.

    they can just say no sorry. Then they get asked why they don’t want to reach out and they just say life is hard enough why add all that extra pressure of working for free when I don’t have to

    Yes, you’re lucky your wife wanted nothing to do with the JW religion and this made it easier for you to ‘Fade’.

    It was fairly easy in my case. Because they couldn’t manipulate/exploit me, I was not missed and it was easy to Fade.. I may have gotten some ‘hope you’re okay’ cards, but that was about it.. In my observation, they only chased after people who were a material loss to them. If somebody had a skill that JWs used for free (a sucker), if somebody entertained and fed the freeloaders (oops! I mean the Friends) or if they had a business and contributed money or employed JWs - these people would be chased after!

    I was glad to be left alone.
