At this point, I think that anything is on the table. They may just "take the money and run".

    run where?

I brought up the idea before that some country, especially Russia, could simply give them some square miles and deport their Jehovah's Witnesses there, and tell them they are so fed up with their preaching that they are giving the JWs their own country and deporting them all there. That could cause the GB to say the time of preaching is over.

The GB will tell the jobos to do what ever brings in most money.

    @ ttdtt:

If you have millions of dollars at your disposal, you can run to wherever you want to run to.

Well, as Jackson said during the Australian Royal Commission: "we are the Guardians Of Doctrine (or GOD)"

So, they (GOD) will tell witnesses what to do and for how long....

The printing business not profitable any more with the advent of the internet and paperless information. So it would be very unwise for these CEOs running the watchtower corp. to keep throw money into shitty literature publications in print to get donations. They were moving very heavily into property investments capitalizing on free labor but that seems to be on the skids these days with many unfinished buildings and perhaps lack of duped volunteers offering themselves willingly at their own expense.

Cart witnessing seems to be a total failure especially with all the bad publicity they are getting on the internet with more and more lawsuits knocking on their door. So I would imagine the WT corp. will try some other way to generate funds before they go belly up. I think door to door preaching will eventually fade to nothing in a few short years with the GB and other key members retiring to some chemical dump property away from public eyes trying different cons to keep afloat financially.

So with all developments so far I see the CEOs of this corporation liquidating the majority of real estate holdings and investing in stocks and bonds, get rid of all the dead weight that will eat up resources like Circuit Overseers, and the like and just keep a cheap internet site where you can bilk the brain dead indoctrinated of funds for various scams.

In other words downsize, downsize, downsize, to slow down the eating of assets and seek out a comfortable retirement for the top guys in the business.

careful - "...they think that the end will come during their tenure at the helm, and that when the wild beast moves against religion, there will come a time when the preaching work will no longer be necessary. They, as God's spokesmen, will then inform the R&F that the preaching work is over...."

That's always been a tacit, semi-official ("semifficial"?) stance, at least as I understand it.

    ttdtt - "run where?"

Someplace where untaxed nest-eggs have been stashed, and is spelled "N-O-E-X-T-R-A-D-I-T-I-O-N"... :smirk:
