To JW's the "truth" is relative. Last year's "truth" is this year's "misunderstanding". So, I think that none of us ever could be accused of speaking against the "truth".

I could actually , I envisaged myself as a BAD BOY at all costs.

WOW ! Dreams really do come true !

    YES!

Strangly enough when I still thought it was the truth, it didn't feel like me. I actually thought I was 'evil' and even found peace with that thought (if that is who I am, then that is who I am, no sense in pretending to be different). Later ofcourse, I found out why it didn't feel right and changed my self image. Yet still at times I feel attracted to that dark side of myself...

Evil is in the eye of the beholder. When being a JW some regard you as evil. When being a worldling, JW's regard you as evil. You are always evil in some people's perspective. Accept it and move on.

What truth? You can't handle the truth.

I was looking at some of my comments on this board over the last few years. Wow, did I change! In the beginning I hated the thought of ever being considered in a cult. I hated the application of that word to the Witnesses. Now it is the only word that I can think of that aptly describes this religion.

No - I always thought it would be gambling or drinking that got me - possibly an outside chance or pornei - but NEVER Apostasy

Stilla, me too. Really though, I'm not talking against the "truth". I'm simply speaking the truth.

First time my wife ever talked about the JW's being a cult, I nearly bit her head off !!

Now, she tells me to temper my language when talking about the TayWits.

    Bull!

I 'get' your question and the answer is, no, I never did think I'd be on the other side of the fence.

However, I'm older now and wiser. I realize that I was standing up for what I thought was the truth then.
I still am. It's just that "the truth" moved on me, so I had to move, too.
