Unlimited Tab Tony to Smiddy3: this was a special transmission after the holy Macallan spirit flowed through us! We do not need to support such things with verses !

There must be some sexually repressed twats in the writing department that get a kick out of seeing this sort of thing in print

You're asking parents if they just skipped that page, back in the early 70's when I was junior high school age the Sunday Washtowel study was all about oral sex, I always say the first time I've ever heard of oral sex was at the Kingdom Hall.

How about all the little kids sitting there, then later on at home when they usually ask the kids what did you learn today at the meeting today, can you imagine being around that dinner table? Especially around those precocious five and six year old kids that every Cong usually has, can you imagine the questions? THe Borg had no shame discussing that for a whole hour, but god forbid you should see an R-rated movie or engage in sex before marriage.

I feel for you Shirley. It is something which I have never been comfortable with at the meetings when they study stuff which is for adults n not kids.

This is freaking disturbing and so uncomfortable to think this is out there for so many children to read/be read.

Cringing to think how many children grew up disturbed, sexually repressed....Sad.

Boy I need a lie down!

Excuse me while I go call my therapist.

I don't know that I find the terms used offensive. And, face it friends, parents are having to teach their young children these "delicate" things at a much earlier age because of the prevalence of sexual abuse in our society. The "age of innocence" is no more. Children have to know what things are NOT acceptable conduct by others. Adult or peers. We have a friend whose daughter in kindergarten had another kindergartner (male) student suggest they have sex (put his in hers) on the school bus. (WTH is a 5 or 6 year old picking this up? Parents careless with porn?) You can go ahead and debate whether "sexual experimentation" is normal (seems it is), but WHEN is it "normal"? A workmate was concerned to learn his 14-year old step daughter was giving BJs and having sex (probably for a year by this time). Is that "normal" for a 13- or 14-year old? But his wife wasn't too concerned, as she said she'd given her first hummer at 14 years of age.She took the daughter to the doc and put her on the pill as she knew another 14-year old in the school who already had an abortion.

(If all of this seems normal to everyone, then I guess I'm just an old f**k and I'll go back in my cave.)

It's not normal, but there have been times, throughout human history, when a young teenage girl was thought of as marriageable, and was often wed to a much older man. So, it's not unprecedented.

The goal is to keep kids innocent, while navigating and avoiding the open cesspools of sexual depravity easily stumbled upon via internet and the media.

I also, as a parent, cringed at some of the content that was discussed in literature and meetings, in regards to sex and destruction of society, via armageddon, and I remember as a child myself, being disturbed, really frightened, by the depictions of destruction. There are definitely things discussed on occasion, and things written about and depicted in the literature, that are not child appropriate. I mean, I wouldn't let my preteen children watch anything sexual or violent, so why would I want to let them sit and hear about it at the kingdom hall? And yet, I did, on occasion, and most witness parents did too... it's crazy how your belief and "faith" in god, will allow you to blindly listen to a religious organization, and shrug off any internal warnings, or gut checks, even when it comes to your children.

Facts: I always say that if the Witnesses were actually READING the material, they wouldn't be Witnesses anymore.

Frankly, I'm more inclined to think that this shit's dreamed up by goofballs in the Writing Dept. as a gag just to see how far they can take the crazy.

    Poe's Law, right?

Not to mention it's pretty obvious by now that sexual repression ultimately fosters sexual deviancy, too.
