Three days ago, we could read about a great new book on WT doctrinal changes here:

    https://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/6217992945795072/ever-changing-teachings-jehovahs-witnesses-probably-most-comprehensive-compendium-about-watchtower-doctrinal-changes

This book is not the only one in its kind, but it truly kicks ass! It was so up-to-date that it not only covered the period from 1879 to 2015, but also the first 6 months of 2016! What I found was new "light" on the inkhorn and who will put the mark on. Last related topic on this site I could find was this one from 7 months ago. In it, Geoffrey Jackson stated (at the AGM) that the "man with a secretary's inkhorn," of Ezekiel chapter 9 was Jesus Christ.

    https://www.jehovahs-witness.com/topic/4713158413385728/man-secretarys-inkhorn-who-he-does-he-wear-flip-flops

So now those statements from the AGM finally made it to the written pages of the june (study) edition of the WT. Another one to add to the endless bulk of doctrinal changes..

    The "ever-changing-teachings" book says this:

The one who will put the “mark” is Jesus with His angels during the “great tribulation” (teaching since 2016)

Whom do the man with the secretary’s inkhorn and the six men with smashing weapons described in Ezekiel’s vision symbolize?

They picture heavenly forces that were involved in the destruction of Jerusalem and that will also be involved in the destruction of Satan’s wicked system at Armageddon.(...) In the past, we have explained that in the modern-day fulfillment of this vision, the man with the secretary’s inkhorn represented the anointed remnant. It was thought that those who respond favorably to the message being preached are now marked for survival. In recent years, however, it has become clear that an adjustment needs to be made to this explanation. According to what is stated at Matthew 25:31-33, Jesus is the one who judges people. He makes his final judgment during the time of the great tribulation, separating the sheeplike ones, who will survive, from the goatlike ones, who will be destroyed. (...) In the modern-day fulfillment, the man with the secretary’s inkhorn represents Jesus Christ, the one behind the scenes who marks those who will survive. The great crowd will receive their mark when they are judged as sheep during the great tribulation. This will put them in line to receive everlasting life here on earth.— Matt 25:34, 46. In the modern-day fulfillment, the six men with smashing weapons represent Jesus’ heavenly armies with Jesus himself at the head. They will soon destroy the nations and all wickedness.—Ezek. 9:2, 6, 7; Rev. 19:11-21. (The Watchtower June 2016 pp. 16-17).

So, Jesus is the man now and now we finally know...

I like this resource very much, and there is so much more to explore! Isn't it great to have such a new and up-to-date book that (among other fine books and websites) again exposes all the flip-flop teachings and doctrinal changes of the WT and reminds us of all the blessings of the information age. A powerful tool in the right hands! Thanks WTS Archive!

I truly think all these flip flops are designed to keep the rank and file studying , wondering, busy and of course thinking the GB are truly blessed with some special knowledge from the Holy Spirit .

Were there heavenly forces involved in the destruction of Jerusalem - same forces used at Armageddon as stated in the WT quote? I always thought it was the Roman army...

Stop nit-picking , you know Jehovah`s heavenly forces used the Roman army to destroy Jerusalem and he will do so at Armageddon. (not the Roman army of course) or is it the earthly forces that cause the heavenly forces to act .

We will have to wait for nu-lite.

What I want to know is , whose face is that tied around his waistcoat ? ( Subliminal image ? )

Also, with the obvious problem Jehovah`s earthly organization, the WTB&TS , has with beards , how is it that the Heavenly organization from Jehovah God down , are all depicted with beards in all of their illustrations.?

I don't think the rank & file study any of this stuff and don't know or care about any changes the GB make.Ask any JW who the anointed represent in this teaching and they will not have a clue. Tell them it's now Jesus that has the writer's inkhorn and they will ask "Isn't that what we've always believed?"

The constant doctrinal changes are the "shiboleth vs siboleth" opportunity for witnesses!

If one is up to date with the latest teachings, they are accepted. If one uses or speaks of old teachings, he is viewed negatively and with suspicion as a "weak or non spiritual" person who should be avoided!

Now it is 102 years that we live in the kingdom. (Hooray!) Imagine how it will be if we looked back after 1000 years or millions years, as Bro. HERD encourages under this earthly kingdom. We would not recognize the "trooth" anymore as "truuth" after so much time! Instruction by implanted tools and cyber-virtual meetings with GB-indoctrinators.

Hence "Keeping pace" is a really necessary and a good means to investigate your "doctrinal strength or weakness" in times of tribulation and in the face of growing mistrust in the Governing Body, "Jehovah-orientation and Jehovah-mindedness" are always a positive potential, with the aim to focus on any CHANGE that could abruptly appear.

Jesus will be easily able to mark his friends nonetheless. In any case its better that Jesus does the MARKING than ANY elder in the congregation, think only of the fact how many of us have suffered through their marking-acts.

"...the Great Crowd will recieve their mark..."

...and it'll look something like this:
